Picture this with me, we are at a coffee shop, sitting in front of the window, and you look up and see rain. You stop, take a deep breath and enjoy the serenity and peace of watching each water droplet hit the window. Around you, you hear voices of people conversing, laughing, maybe catching up, and you can't help but be content. Welcome to my Sunday afternoon!

As I sit here, and write my very first blog, I am excited and afraid of where this blog will go. I try to weigh the pros and cons of being open and sharing my journey with those who decide to visit my site. My ups and downs, moments of joy and sadness, what I love and don't, but as much as there could be some negative things that can come from it (negative comments, judgments, misunderstandings), I'm hopeful that the pros will outweigh it! I have always been the type to be vulnerable around others. I find that people will connect more and feel understood when others are open and willing to share their life experiences.
